What personal data Opinio collects, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it and what choices you have. We handle personal data under Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and its rules [[verify current status and requirements]].

To provide Opinio, keep it safe, follow the law and, with your consent, for the purposes listed above. You can withdraw consent by deleting your account.
Only service providers that help us run Opinio, under contract: cloud hosting ([[Render]]), database ([[Neon]]), file storage and delivery ([[Cloudflare]]), email sending ([[Brevo]]), push notifications ([[Google Firebase]]), crash reporting ([[Sentry]]), image-safety checking ([[Sightengine, if enabled]]) and an AI provider that checks claims ([[Anthropic]]; the text of Claim posts is sent to it). We do not sell your personal data. We disclose data to authorities only as described in Legal requests.

You can see and download your data (Settings → Privacy & data → Download my data), correct your profile, and delete your account. You can also write to us to exercise any right the law gives you, to nominate someone to act for you, or to complain: [[GRIEVANCE_EMAIL]].
Opinio is only for people aged 18 and over. If we learn that someone younger has an account we will remove it.
Passwords are hashed, data is encrypted in transit, private chats are end-to-end encrypted and access to our systems is limited and logged. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your data we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
If we change this policy in an important way we will ask you to review and agree again in the app.
